tape sculpture...
I found this great public art while surfing through artist links today. Mark Jenkins uses "tape sculpture" to produce these life-like transparent objects. More eye candy from this artist can be seen by clicking here.

from junky to funky...
Before...
After...
I've recently been hooked on a show "from junky to funky" on the diy network. Granted they use some unconventional styles to transform a room but its neat to see how dumpster diving can actually create some really neat diy projects!

test prints...
Test prints are hard to find, but aesthetic apparatus always has good ones! A test print is a paper print that has multiple printings on the same sheet. Once thrown out, since it was mainly used to check ink color and density, they are truly jewels in their own right.
Check out their art prints and rock posters too!

small conversation pieces...
I purchased this painting from artghost.com a year or so ago and I'm delighted that it is still available for purchase today. I had mine custom painted in yellow tones to match my kitchen and its still a conversation starter to this day! There are many painting designs available and at $25, you can't go wrong!

guys need recliners...
I went to a local lazy boy the other day and asked to see the above sofa. The salesman hesitated and then said that they didn't carry one in the store but they could order it. He explained that only sofas with recliners were selling...I believe this to be a guy thing--anyone with me? I don't hate recliners I just like a good aesthetic sofa :) Check out the benjamin at lazy boy dot com.

cutest puppies...
Even though my puppy is only 2 years old and he's a handful (jack russel/whippet mix), I can't resist spending some time searching for local puppies at petfinder.com
Murphy (above) has already been adopted but there are tons of dogs and cats that still need loving homes!

polymer clay...
I'll be the first to admit that most projects in polymer clay don't really thrill me. I've just never been taken with the medium...until I seen Meredith's work! I love her use of color and shape and who doesn't need a 2 inch friend to brighten your day?! She needs like 8 hands though -- to keep up with the demand :) Click on the pic above to visit her website.
