Even though my puppy is only 2 years old and he's a handful (jack russel/whippet mix), I can't resist spending some time searching for local puppies at petfinder.com
Murphy (above) has already been adopted but there are tons of dogs and cats that still need loving homes!

oh man, that is the cutest puppy ever!
What kind of dog is this??? I am looking to buy a puppy and this one is PERFECT!!! :)
This listing said "chihuahua mix" -- I would guess it is mixed with another tea cup dog like a Maltese (click on the link below to see a teacup Maltese)

the "listing" you are talking about... where can I find that information? Thank you for your help!
The "listing" was linked by petfinder.com above. The puppy has been adopted so the listed is expired (this post is fairly old).
However, you can search petfinder.com for any breed you want. Here are a few listings I've found that you might be interested in:

*please keep in mind it is much easier to adopt a cute pup somewhere close to where you live (this is how we got our dog tucker). However, it is quite common for people to travel to adopt these days as well. Most pups on petfinder.com require you fill out adoption papers to see if you are a good match. Its a good idea to research the breeds you are interested in and see if they would be good with other pets and/or kids.
