small conversation pieces...

I purchased this painting from artghost.com a year or so ago and I'm delighted that it is still available for purchase today. I had mine custom painted in yellow tones to match my kitchen and its still a conversation starter to this day! There are many painting designs available and at $25, you can't go wrong!

cloud 9...

These would be awesome to put all over my ceiling. Such a simple design with a lot of whimsy! Pick one up at ylighting or use this pic to inspire a new diy project.

it's time...

I've been wanting to start a blog for quite sometime. I read a million of them a day--so why not write one too!?!

Most of you will probably find this blog from my etsy site makeshift modern. My blog will showcase new designs as well as web finds. I search for certain items that I want to purchase (i.e. a dining room chandelier) until I find the end of the Internet! It's a crazy obsession.

Please vote for the next featured design at makeshift modern (see poll at right). You have until Feb. 14th to vote!
